Apology from Tisbury PC to Ms Macey - 12th May 2014 ‘Articles in the Blackmore Vale Magazine and a subsequent debate at a recent parish council meeting have highlighted ongoing concerns throughout the Tisbury community that there is a requirement for imaginative solutions to village parking problems. Tisbury Parish Council has worked extremely hard during the last few years to retain free parking in the village. However, increasing numbers of anecdotal reports from residents, local employees and High St shoppers that they have nowhere to park, clearly need further investigation and assessment. There is no doubt that the availability of parking is crucial to the economic viability of the village. All Tisbury Parish councillors apologise for any inadvertent offence caused to Ms Macey in their letter of 2ndMay 2014 and are delighted at the positive response of Ms Macey and her colleagues in offering to join a new Transport and Parking Parish Focus Group which will work towards identifying parking solutions for the Tisbury community.
